Saved by Water when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, during the building of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were saved through water. 1 Peter 3:20

And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 2 Peter 2:5 Saved by Water

The Flood Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he. Genesis 6:22 And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him. Genesis 7:4

The Flood And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark. Genesis 7:23

As The Days Of Noah As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they did not know until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of man. Matthew 24:36-39

The Coming Judgment Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. Isaiah 26:20,21

In Noah’s Day People were doing normal things: Eating and drinking Planting and building Marrying and giving in marriage But they chose to remain unmoved by the signs and the warnings given by Noah Consequently all but eight were swept away!

Tomorrow Things will change God’s word will accomplish what God intends! The world was not created for people to destroy

The Flood Foreshadows the Future The flood and the ark of safety for the eight that were saved is a figure of baptism as a response of faith in the purpose of God The resurrection of Christ is the basis of that faith

Baptism and the Ark the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us 1 Peter 3:20,21

Noah’s New World The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place which thou didst appoint for them. Thou didst set a bound which they should not pass, so that they might not again cover the earth. Psalm 104:6-8

God’s Covenant with Noah And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. Genesis 9:9,11

God’s invitation to us is the same today as it was in Noah’s day: Enter into the ark of safety, Jesus Christ, before it is too late.
