The CDC recommends we not take in more than 1 teaspoon of salt each day.

3 How much sugar does my body need every day?
Girls should get 6 teaspoons of sugar a day and boys 9 teaspoons of sugar a day.

4 How many teaspoons of sugar are in a soft drink?
Between 10 and 12 teaspoons of sugar are in 1 can of soda.

5 What are empty calorie foods?
Foods that have lots of calories but no nutrition such as: potato chips, candy, ice cream, cake, frozen dinners, most juices, pie, cheese cake, all chips, french fries, most packaged foods,etc.
