1 What is 1) A rhombus? 2) A parallelogram? 3) A square? 4) A rectangle? Ext: Can you find another way of describing these shapes?

2 Draw five quadrilaterals with one pair of parallel sides.
What do you call the resulting shape?

3 A trapezium is a quadrilateral with one pair of parallel sides.
If the other two sides are of equal length it is called an isosceles trapezium.

4 Draw a circle and mark its centre A and two further
points B, C on its perimeter (not opposite each other). Draw a line from the centre A to each point B, C on the perimeter. About each point B and C draw a circle of same radius. Make sure to choose a radius such that these two circles intersect. Choose one of the intersection points, D, and draw a line from D to B and from D to C.

5 A kite is a quadrilateral with
two pairs of adjacent sides of equal length.
