3 The Vital Statistics About 88,000 people living with dementia in Scotland in 2014 (3,500+ people under 65 years) Predicted to double over next 25 years People living with dementia are three to eight times more likely to fall Currently around 1 in 4 of all general hospital beds in Scotland are occupied by people over the age of 65 who have some form of dementia.
