1 PS3 TVNZ ONDEMAND INTERFACE SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY

2 TVNZ ONDEMAND ON PS3 PS3 is more than a game player, it’s an entertainment player offering; gaming, DVD, Blue Ray, Internet, Music, and now TVNZ Ondemand, bringing TV Ondemand into the living room. The partnership between Sony and TVNZ brings together world class technology and experience to develop this unique TV Ondemand experience for PS3 users to share in the comfort of their living room. This is a first for NZ. PS3 users will now be able to use this video Ondemand channel to catch up on their favourite programmes that they may have missed on TV or just want to watch again. Users will be able to login to PS3, connected to their TV set with a broadband service. Once in the ‘Cross Media Bar’ (main menu), users can click on Ondemand icon, then navigate and select any content to play. Viewers will be able to access top international and local content for a set time. TVNZ Ondemand on PS3 will follow the same format Ondemand has been using, whereby each programme streamed is broken into chapters, and has in-stream advertising (video or TVC) playing.

3 REACHING A UNIQUE AUDIENCE WITH PS3 TVNZ ONDEMAND PS3 TVNZ Ondemand Interface launch sponsorship partners will be able to reach a hard to reach unique audience. Reaching Console Users – 38.6% of New Zealanders have at least one console (People who have consoles in the home tend to have more than one (average of 1.7 consoles) – Half of those who have gaming console play on it. 19.7% of all New Zealanders play on consoles – PS3 is becoming more commonly used console with 10.9% of New Zealanders having one in their household. – 73.5% of people playing gaming consoles are light to moderate gamers Profile of console users – Males (61.4%) – 73.3% are aged 10-34s. (under 25 years olds make up 56.7% of people who play on these consoles) – Personal income of up to $50,000 (82.9%). 4 WHAT TVNZ ONDEMAND ON PS3 LOOKS LIKE Users select the programme they want to watch on the PS3 TVNZ Ondemand interface. TVNZ Ondemand on PS3 will follow the same format as TVNZ Ondemand channel, where the programmes will be split into chapters. Video ads will stream in front, in- between and post chapters.
