4.  Composed mostly of keratinized stratified squamous epithelium.  Contains 4 distinct cell types and 4 to 5 distinct layers. EPIDERMIS - OUTERMOST LAYER.

5.  Made mostly of connective tissue.  Contains the hair follicles, sweat glands, oil glands, lymphatic vessels, and many sensory receptors. DERMIS - MIDDLE LAYER.

6.  Energy holder – lots of fat cells  Helps hold in body heat and impacts to skin HYPODERMIS – BOTTOM LAYER
