2 Retrieving & Replacing Laptops  Follow your teacher’s directions.  Move carefully through the room.  Take no more than your own laptop, unless directed by a teacher.  Wait your turn.

3 Carrying Your Computer  Disconnect anything attached to your computer before you move it.  Turn it off before moving it.  ONLY pick up your computer by the bottom (NEVER by the display). Take care of me!

4 Where and How You Work  Work with your computer on a desk in front of you.  Keep your computer away from water.  Keep your computer away from magnets, cell phones, electrical appliances and speakers.  Keep your computer away from extreme heat or extreme cold.

5 Be Gentle!  Put nothing underneath your computer, or on top of the keyboard.  Do not treat your computer in a rough way.  Do not open the computer display too wide.

6 Storage Media  Don’t insert diskettes at an angle.  Be careful that nothing is loose that can get stuck in a drive.  Don’t touch CD surface or the lens on the CD tray.  Wait until you hear the CD or DVD click into tray before closing it.

7 Power  If your power icon gets to 10%, connect to a power source.  Don’t close your laptop cover UNLESS the screen is black.
