2 Overview Overview Of Open Items From Program Year 2010 –Key “Board At Large” Open Items –Key “Committee Focused” Open Items Issues Will Be Addressed And Worked As Part Of Scheduled Board Agenda Items And Committee Meetings During PY 2011 2

3 Reassessment of Strategic Objectives Establishment of metrics for Strategic Objectives Reach consensus on environmental foundation of BMA concept –Web career development path (EAC and FAI and NCMA testimony) –More diverse organizational groupings with the contracting function within industry and Government –Contracting professionals require access to broader array of functional knowledge than in the past –Other Associations exist and serve many of these other functions 3 Key “Board At Large” Open Items

4 Reach consensus on our response to this environment in terms of the alternatives to be evaluated 1.Change nothing – NCMA continues to focus only on contract management 2.NCMA builds and markets programming to serve professionals in adjacent fields 3.Work toward alliance(s) with related organizations in a manner that retains current Brand focus and strengths Rebuild Association funding reserves 4 Key “Board At Large” Open Items (Continued)

5 Chapter Development –Chapters Lite –Virtual Chapters Professionalism Advocacy –Determine how to react to latest SOCO conversation regarding “Open Letter” to Government Employees –Determine how to ensure Executive Round Tables reach maximum potential –Develop slightly more rigorous issue assessment process Women’s Forum –Continued growth –Assessment of institutionalization alternatives 5 Key “Committee Focused” Open Items

6 Professional Standards & Ethics –Publication of Professional Standards package –Completion and publication of CMBOK 3.0 in conjunction with PES –Completion and publication of Contracting Organizational Placement study with identification of best practices –Advancement of CM 2 initiative (tool for individual professional assessment and setting of objectives) University Outreach –Outreach to university students and increase in student memberships Pursue Student Chapters when opportunity arises –Outreach to universities Relationships as a resource Encourage CM curriculum development 6 Key “Committee Focused” Open Items (Continued)
