1. The Project My idea is to produce a variety of work that has borrowed selected elements from various art forms and media in order to create new works that can exist simultaneously in new and old contexts. The objective is to investigate these contexts through the manipulation of the factors that have determined the credibility or significance of the original source materials.

4. Historical Context Certain artworks belong to a certain place in time. This historical context often suggests a need for some sort ‘high-brow’ appreciation and understanding of the classical world. It is my intention to borrow elements from various historical as well as more contemporary periods in order to evaluate the significance of the historical context. I would intended to play with this context of time by transposing elements, themes etc. to new time periods.

5. The Medium The medium through which any message is delivered instantly transmits an associated level of credibility or respectability. It is my intention to analyse and utilise a variety of media and technologies to communicate my messages in order to create new possibilities to the audience.

6. Place The placement of an artefact either in or out or a traditional art environment can often determine it’s level of credibility or value. The placement and relationship of works to each other can also be hugely significant as it implies relationships between the works. This placement can also imply for whom the artwork is intended. It is my intention to create art that can exist in galleries, public spaces, private environments and on personal electronic devices.

7. Language The languages employed in the communication of the ideas will be varied. It is my assertion that the modern audience is very sophisticated and capable of interpreting a variety of themes, motifs, styles and visual metaphors. The modern audience is also capable of interpreting various influences and is therefore capable of engaging intellectually with artworks that posses a multi-layer approach.

8. Historical Context Ancient Greek mythological theme mixed with contemporary fiction. Place Poster for public spaces to be consumed by all. Language Traditional classical heroic style. Traditional Greek pattern motifs. Traditional drawing and fake etching effect. Use of scene from movie to convey pattern on plate and menacing presence of shark. Medium Combination of pottery and poster elements and design to communicate information in traditional format.
