11 Confession & Forgiveness
P: Let us confess our sins in the presence of God and of each other.

12 C: We confess that we are born in bondage to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against you in thought, word and deed, by what we have done and by what we have failed to do. We have not loved you with our whole heart, and we have not loved our neighbour as ourselves. We deserve your eternal punishment.

13 For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us
For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. Amen.

19 P. Thank you, Jesus our Saviour, for keeping God's law perfectly for us. Teach us through your Spirit to follow you and fulfil the law by a life of love. For you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. C: Amen.

22 Jesus’ radical teaching of the law
Gospel   Matthew 5:21-37 Jesus’ radical teaching of the law Response after the Gospel: P: This is the Gospel of the Lord. C: Praise be to you O Christ.

23 The Apostle’s Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell.

24 The third day he rose again
from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father almighty, from thence he will come to judge the living and the dead.

25 I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

27 IN CHRIST ALONE

28 In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light my strength my song This Cornerstone this solid Ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm What heights of love what depths of peace When fears are stilled when strivings cease My Comforter my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand

29 In Christ alone who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless babe This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones He came to save Till on that cross as Jesus died The wrath of God was satisfied For every sin on Him was laid Here in the death of Christ I live

30 There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave He rose again And as He stands in victory Sin's curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ

31 No guilt in life no fear in death This is the power of Christ in me From life's first cry to final breath Jesus commands my destiny No power of hell no scheme of man Can ever pluck me from His hand Till He returns or calls me home Here in the power of Christ I'll stand. 1 Corinthians 3:1-9

33 I. THE DIVERSITY OF MINISTRY
5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.

34 UNITY OF PURPOSE. “The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose,” (1 Cor. 3:8).

38

39 III. HUMILITY OF SPIRIT. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.
