2 The MSCA actions offer international excellent research career development opportunities and training to highly talented researchers. will award a total of € 6.16 billion for the period under Horizon 2020. MSCA projects, which are managed by the Research Executive Agency of the European Commission, support the European Union goal to achieve one million more research jobs by 2020. Ensure the optimum development and dynamic use of Europe’s intellectual capital in order to generate new skills, knowledge and innovation. Europe needs an extra one million researchers by 2020, as businesses in particular increasingly invest in research. The Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions will train 65,000 researchers over the period In 2015, almost researchers will benefit from the programme

4 European Researchers' Night (NIGHT) aim:
The European Researchers' Night (NIGHT) is a European wide public and media event to promote what researchers do for society and its influence on citizens' daily life, inspiring young people to take up a career on research. Where fun meets science! the European Researchers' Night aims at bringing researchers closer to the general public, thereby raising awareness of and interest in research careers.

5 European Researchers' Night (NIGHT) :
Goals Raise awareness among society of the importance of research and research projects for their daily lives. Dispel stereotypes around researchers by them personally showing their work openly and in practical terms. Stress the importance of increasing the number of researchers in Europe for our wellbeing and prosperity in the coming decades.

6 Celebrate the event in an entertaining manner through a myriad of science dissemination activities around Europe and beyond. Give a special focus on pupils and students. Promote the European dimension and gender balance in research and innovation. Involve researchers funded by Horizon 2020.

7 Expected Impact Raise awareness of the importance of research careers and tackle the existing stereotypes. In the long term, encourage young people to embark on scientific careers.
