7 © 2010 Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health www.growthcharts.rcpch.ac.uk PCHR-2009 Use of the record –Distribute antenatally or as soon as possible after birth –Health visiting responsibility to explain to parents purpose, use and content of record –Use “Birth to Five” and other relevant health promotion material with the PCHR –Encourage parents to record information about their child’s health and development –Encourage parents to take PCHR with them to every contact with health professionals
