1 Verizon APP Challenge Marketing II/III

2 Contestants Students must be in teams of 5-7 with all the students in the team being from the same school If contestants are under 18 they need a parent consent form signed to enter the contest

3 Submission Period The submission period begins August 4, 2015 and closes November 24 th, 2015 @ 11:00pm EST.

4 Submissions Submissions will consist of: Team information Essay Visual Presentation

5 Team information Name of Team APP Team Grade Level Full name of Team Sponsor (Mr. Riverso) Completed student release forms for those under 18 Completed faculty/principal authorization form

6 Essay Responses The essay response should demonstrate the team’s design process, the APP’s functionality and its potential impact Include the following Statement of the problem or issues identified and its affect on the school or community (200 words) Description of the team’s mobile app solution to the problem (200 words) Description of the uniqueness of the proposed mobile app (200 words) Description of the specific mobile technology providing the viable solution to the problem (200 words)

7 PowerPoint Statement of the problem or issues identified and its affect on the school or community; Description of the team’s mobile app solution to the problem; Description of the uniqueness of the proposed mobile app solution; Description of the specific mobile technology features providing a viable solution to the problem.

8 PowerPoint A description of the identified need or problem and an explanation of how the mobile App Concept will address the identified problem/need; Identification of the primary audience for the app, description of the intended user experience and how it is appropriate for the intended audience; Creative and appealing visual elements such as storyboards and/or design documentation that highlight the unique form and functionality of the mobile App Concept;

9 3 minute Video A 3 minute video describing the App Concept A description of the identified need or problem and an explanation of how the mobile App Concept will address the identified problem or a certain need Identification of the primary audience for the app, description of the intended user experience and how it is appropriate for the intended audience Creative and appealing visual elements

10 Promotional Commercial A 30 second promotional commercial
