2 Administrative Notes Please be sure to save your results from this week’s lab – They will serve as the starting point for Lab 3 – They may also be needed for quiz 2 Quiz 1 – in progress until Tuesday, 4/23 No pre-lab 2 quizlet this cycle

3 Quiz Week (5) Activities Quiz 2 will be released on Friday (4/26) at 6 PM – Deadline: Thursday (5/2) at 4:30 PM – Makeup quiz – from Friday (5/3) at 9 AM through Sunday (5/5) at 11:00 PM 30% penalty Pre-lab 3 quizlet – From Thursday (5/2 – noon) through Monday (5/6 – 8 AM) Be sure to visit the CLC for quiz for general Maple assistance and use the posted quiz hints

4 Time Simulations Procedure with inputs Change input values to study model While loop Simulates some amount of time passing Store Results in table Graph results Or examine them for something

5 Summary acState(temp,presentState) Tells you if the fan speed should be high or low given the current fan speed (presentState) and current temperature (temp). airFlowControl(state,lowFlow,highFlow) Tells you the fan speed you should set the air conditioner to given the state (high or low) and the speeds used for lowFlow and highFlow. HVACSim1(Tea0, Qea0) – Part 1 Version Simulate an air conditioner cooling a room and show plot of temp. Tea0 is the temperature of air blowing out of the air conditioner. Qea0 is the fan speed of the air conditioner. HVACSim1(Tea0, lf,hf) – Part 2 Version Modify to use airFlowControl and have two fan speeds. When the room gets cold enough, turn the fan speed down.
