2 MASS = Multi-Aperture Scintillation Sensor Need for a simple, cheap profile monitor: single-star profiler Presursor: “Scintillometer” of Ochs et al. MASS: better hardware, theory and signal processing (polychromatic scintillation; photon counting; de- biasing)
