4. John 15:18-21 Obstructions to Divine Good Production: Reason #1: Satan’s Cosmic System hates the believer! Reason #2: We are not of this world-Election out from the World! Reason #3: “The servant is not greater than his Lord,” therefore we too will have persecutions! 7. The perfect idea of “possessed knowledge” rather than the present aspect of “acquiring knowledge.”

8. Perfect with a Present Force: They did not know God the Father in the past, which means they continue to not know Him in the present.

9. 3 rd PP Active Voice: Identifies the self- righteous, legalistic religious groups who persecute true disciples.

10. They are pseudo Christians as opposed to atheists, agnostics or pagan god worshipers.

11. Indicative Mood: Those religious types who persecute true believers absolutely do not know who God the Father is or what His Plan for salvation is.

12. “The One who sent,” HO PEMPO A Participle (Verb/Noun) in the Aorist, Active, Accusative. “To send, commission, or appoint.”

13. God the Father sent His only begotten Son, John 13:16.

14. John 15:21, “But all these things, (persecutions), they, (those of Satan’s Cosmic System), will do to you all (disciples of the Lord) for the sake of My (Jesus’) name. Because they (self- righteous religious types) inherently do not know the One (God the Father) who sent Me (Jesus Christ).”

15. Principles: 1. These self-righteous, legalistic religious types do not understand the Father or the principle by which He operates.

16. 2. God the Father operates on the basis of grace. There is no other way for God to take sinful, spiritually dead, humanity and make him a child of God.

17. 3. They do not understand grace, therefore “they do not know” God the Father Himself.

18. L. S. Chafer, “Wherever the element of human merit is allowed into the presentation of the plan of salvation, the message is satanic to that extent. …

19. … The ministers of Satan proclaim personal righteousness as the ground of the individual’s right relationship to God.” 2 Cor 11:13-15

20. 4. To “not know” God is tantamount to rejecting Him. Gal 4:8; 1 Thes 4:5

21. Gal 4:8, “However at that time, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods.”

22. 5. Rom. 10:1-17, shows Israel’s lack of understanding as to whom God truly is, and His plan of salvation for man.

23. 6. Rom 10:2, “They have a zeal for God” = Jews who persecuted the disciples.

24. John 15:21, “for the sake of My name” = Pseudo Christians, religious types who also have persecuted disciples of Christ.
