1 MACBETH UNIT – DAY 6 1.Add the following Dramatic Terms and Definitions: 1.Symbolism - The use of symbols to represent ideas or qualities. 2.Dramatic Irony - irony that occurs when the meaning of the situation is understood by the audience but not by the characters in the play. 3.Foil – a minor character whose attitudes, beliefs and behavior differ significantly from those of a main character and serves to highlight these differences in the main character. 2. Then add the Vocabulary words on page 352 (in the white vocabulary box).
