3. Hospitals Classified by Funding Private or proprietary (operated for profit) usually by patient fees and or organization that provide financial support Religious- religious support and patient fee Nonprofit or voluntary- patient fees and donations Government- tax monies and or patient fees

4. Long Term Care Facilities Provide care for elderly, people with physical or mental disabilities, and individuals with chronic or long term illness Nursing homes or geriatric homes Usually for individuals who cannot care for themselves Provide skilled nursing care and rehabilitative services

Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) Serve as health care delivery systems and offer types of health insurance Provide total health care directed toward preventive care for a fee that is usually fixed and prepaid Services include; examinations, hospitalization, education, May be operated by large industries, private organizations and use the services of other health care facilities

9. Industrial Health Care Center Located in large industries or companies Provide health care for employees Services include basic exams, emergency care, safety

10. School Health Services Found in schools and colleges Services provided are emergency care, sudden illness, speech, vision, counseling

11. Government Agencies Offered at international, national, state, and local levels Most are tax supported Some examples: WHO International agency sponsored by United Nations to compile statistics and information on disease, and to deal with serious health problems throughout the world
