2 Health-Related Fitness
There are five health-related components of physical fitness: Flexibility Cardiovascular Fitness Muscular Strength Muscular Endurance Body Composition

3 Flexibility Flexibility is the range of movement possible at various joints. Sit-and-reach

4 Cardiovascular Fitness
Cardiovascular Fitness deals with the ability of the heart, blood, vessels, and the respiratory system to supply oxygen and necessary fuel to the muscles during exercise. jogging, cycling, swimming

5 Muscular Strength and Endurance
Muscular strength is the ability of muscles to exert a force on time. Weightlifting Muscular endurance is the ability to use muscles for long periods of time. Sit-up, Pull-up tests

6 Body Composition Body Composition is the ratio of fat to muscle, bone, and other tissues that compose your body. Underwater Weighing Electrical impedance analysis

7 Skill-Related Fitness
There are six skill-related components of physical fitness: agility balance power reaction time coordination speed. These factors contribute toward your ability to successfully participate in sports activities.

8 Agility Agility is the ability to change the position of your body and to control the movement of your whole body. Shuttle runs T-Tests

9 Balance Balance is the ability to keep an upright posture while either standing still or moving. Good balance is essential to be successful in activities such as ice skating, skiing, surfing, and gymnastics.

10 Power Power is the ability to do strength performances at a rapid pace. vertical jump standing long jump

11 Reaction Time Reaction time is the amount of time it takes to get moving once your senses signal the need to move. (track, swimming, baseball) Yardstick test

12 Coordination Coordination is the integration of the eye, hand, and foot movements. a ball toss against a wall kicking a soccer ball against a wall

13 Speed Speed is the ability to cover a distance in a short time.
