5 LIU-PSB Milestones LS1: 1.5 year Half Sector Test −Part 1: L4T  Q3 2016 −Part 2 : HST  Q4 2016 EYETS = Extended-Year-End Technical Stop −16 weeks, from Dec. 2016 to March 2017 −All WPs related to Linac4 connection: end 2016, should ● Linac2 fail all of a sudden. ● LHC experience a major problem LS2 for the PSB −Upgrade: 15.5 months, from 07 January 2018 to 16 April 2019 −All WPs related to PSB energy upgrade −Linac4 connection to PSB if not done during EYETS Presently there is no management decision to relax on the end-2016 deadline for the Linac4 connection to the PSB. Therefore this has to stay the baseline for our planning. 5

24 Summary LS1: one WU completed HST: on time Part 1 & Part 2 Open actions: a few left to be addressed EYETS 16-17 −H - injection section, BLMs and BTMS: A large cabling effort required −Late WU request: Tune pick-ups in 3L1. Baseline unrealistic for BI YETS 17-18 −Proposed installation date for the injection matching monitor, ie 1 year after baseline LS2 −BWS: A prototype for test in the PSB during the run 2017. WU is out of the critical path, Budget −All planned activities are within the budget… BUT −BWS: final cost known by Mid’ 2016 −Missing 100 kCHF for the tune pick-ups −Most WUs includes spares 24
