National Innovation Strategy- Unique way of looking at future More than 800 events being organised across the country in an attempt to transform the UAE into a knowledge hub of ideas and creative thinking. The UAE national innovation Strategy aims to establish a national culture encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship through partnership between the public, private and media sectors. The UAE has been ranked No.1 for developing business clusters. The UAE is 47 on the global innovation index as published by Cornell University, INSEAD and the WIPO.
UAE Innovation Week The UAE’s national innovation strategies focuses seven sectors: Renewable enery,Transport,Education,Health, Technology, Water and Space The creation of a stimulating environment by enacting laws and creating supportive institutions including innovation incubators. Government innovation using an integrated system of modern tools. All government entities are required to reduce spending by 1 percent and dedicate the savings to research and innovation projects. The private sector will be supported to establish R&D centres, adopt new technologies and develop new products and services. The UAE will seek to attract pioneering international firms in key innovation sectors, set up innovation communities and zones, and support applied research in various fields. A focus on empowering individual with highly innovative skills through concentration in science, technology, engineering and mathematics and creating material for educational institutions.
