1. When I Grow Up Marked Piece Learning Objective: To draw together concepts from the ‘When I Grow Up’ Unit to create a game show.

2. Marked Piece What will I be doing? You are going to create a game show that includes the concepts we have studied during this unit, such as, happiness, dreams, moving out, careers, mortgages, renting and budgeting. It could be a quiz show, a reality TV type game, panel show etc. You can use inspiration from existing game shows or create a new one of your own. The aim is to be as creative as possible! Who will I be working with? You will work in groups of 4-6. How will I be presenting my work? You will be presenting in front of the class – you might like to ask for audience participation from the class or you could perform it as a role play. How long do I have? You will have two lessons to prepare and you will present on the third lesson.

3. How will I be marked? Attitude Grade: A = An excellent amount of care, effort and time has gone into your game show. You have shown outstanding Team Work skills. You have clearly collaborated as a team and everyone had a role to play. B = You have clearly tried hard with this and have demonstrated the skill of being a Team Worker. C = You have put some effort into this but it could have been completed with more care. D = A disappointing amount of effort. You need to focus on your skill as a Team Worker. Progress Grade: A = You have made clear and developed links to the concepts we have studied. Your game show is very creative and exceptionally well planned. B = You have made links to the concepts we have studied. You have had some creative ideas and planned well. C = You have made some links to the concepts we have studied. Some areas of your work lack development (e.g. planning) D = The criteria for this task have not been met. There are no links to the unit.
