2 POSITIVE CONNOTATION  What does it mean for a word to have a positive connotation?  To be associated with something good.

3 NEGATIVE CONNOTATION  What does it mean for a word to have a negative connotation?  To be associated with something bad.

4 NEUTRAL CONNOTATION  What does it mean for a word to have a neutral connotation?  To be indifferent, not to have a strong feeling of the word being associated with something good or bad.

5 POSITIVE CONNOTATION  #5 in your notes you need to write down another word for DOG that has a positive connotation.  Puppy  Companion  Seeing-eye dog  Man’s best friend

6 NEGATIVE CONNOTATION  #6 on your paper write another word for DOG that has a negative connotation.  Mutt  Flea-bag  Hound??? Agree/Disagree

7 NEUTRAL CONNOTATION  #7 on your paper write another word for DOG that has a neutral connotation.  Canine  Hound???

8 NOW YOUR TURN  #8 on your paper, write POSTIVE, NEGATIVE, NEUTRAL and put these words under the correct connotation.  Inactive/lazy/laid-back  Young/Youthful/Childish  Slim/Thin/Skinny  Conceited/Proud/Confident
