3 A sentence is a complete thought. Here are some sentences. I asked Daddy for an elephant. Franny and Ginny are sisters. Friends can help you live longer.

4 These are not sentences. They don’t tell us a complete idea. Asked Daddy for an elephant. Franny and Ginny are. Live longer.
