4. On Monday April 27, Dr. Pallavi Ishwad and one of her colleagues from Carnegie Mellon will be speaking during 5th period in G23 (Ms. Sirockman's room). This talk is for any Junior students interested in taking Bioinformatics next year. All are encouraged to attend the talk!

5. Congratulations to the Oakland Catholic Track Team who finished the regular season last night with a 78 to 63 win against Plum High School. This allowed the team to finish with a 7 win 1 loss record and gave them the Section Championship. The team has experienced many outstanding performances during the season. Out of 18 events the Eagles have placed 12 runners and jumpers in the top 20 in Western Pennsylvania. Most outstanding have been sophomore Lauren Finikiotis who has the second best time in the 3200 meter run and junior Olivia Rowe who appears in the top 20 in 4 events. The team will now run in the Mars Invitational and the South Fayette Invitational this weekend. Go Eagles

9. Oakland Catholic Theater Group, with a collaborative cast of Oakland and Central Catholic students, will present "You Can't Take It With You", a comedy in three acts by by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 23, 24, and 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the JOA Theater. Please come to see this fun production! Adults $10. Students $5.

13. DANCING WITH THE VIKINGS The third annual Dancing with the Vikings will be held Friday, May 1 st at Central Catholic’s McGonigle Theater. It will begin at 7 o’clock. Attend to watch some of your fellow students teach some Central Vikings a few dance moves. All funds will go toward The Guatemala Club and Central’s Haiti Fund. Admission is $5. Tickets will be sold next week during lunches. Bring some friends! It is a great event for an even greater cause!
