43 Human Services Current Issues ESF-6: Shelter Operations 26,147 Meals and 6,124 snacks have been served 21 shelters open with a population of 842 evacuees County breakdown of current shelter operations Panhandle Operational Area: 19 Shelters with 669 evacuees South FL Operational Area: 2 Shelters in Miami-Dade with 131 evacuees Shelters on standby in the Panhandle: 7 ESF-11: 82 trucks of water and 92 trucks of ice have been sent to South Florida 24 trucks of water are staged at White Springs 2 trucks of water and 18 trucks of ice at Tallahassee ESF-15: Volunteers and Donations Hotline 1-800- FLHELP1 is Open ESF-17: Large animal assessment team continues to be on-scene in Miami-Dade. Continued monitoring for pet food commodity needs.

44 Human Services Up Next – Infrastructure Unmet Needs None at this time Future Operations ESF-6: Plan for possible mass feeding operations in the Panhandle, Plan for the closing of shelters in S. Florida. ESF-11: Continue coordinating the shipment water and ice with logistics and the staging areas for both operational areas ESF-15: Continue coordinating with Volunteer agencies meeting volunteer agency requests ESF-17: Continued response to animal related issues due to flooding and prepare to support possible requests for mosquito control.

46 Infrastructure Current Issues ESF1&3 Aerial and ground recon underway in Panhandle. Debris clearance teams at work. Federal & State roads clear, except for SR300 (St. George Island), SR30E and CR370 (Alligator Point). ESF2 Monitoring impact to communications infrastructures (trk# 42) Approx. 59,644 landline outages in south Florida. 95% wireless coverage operational in south Florida.

47 Infrastructure Current Issues (cont) ESF12 FUEL Western Panhandle long lines, several stations out of regular and mid grade. Ft Lauderdale, Pompano, and Miami- numerous stations closed due to power outages. Major haulers are sending additional carriers into the region to provide support. Local EOCs have been spot checked and report adequate fuel for first responders. Escambia, Santa Rosa & Walton – 60% fuel stations polled have fuel; Okaloosa, most have fuel but running low. Many fuel stations appear to close at 9:00 pm CDT Fuel suppliers continue to focus on I-10 corridor

48 Infrastructure Current Issues (cont) ELECTRIC ESF 12 is in contact with the electric utilities that will be impacted and they are ready to respond as soon as the hurricane passes and it is safe for the repairs to begin. Broward County –101,100 outages (11%), Miami-Dade County – 212,900 outages (22%), Monroe County – 300 outages (>1%). (trk# 40) South Florida electric utilities at 90% restoration by end of tomorrow. (trk# 390) Gulf Power preparing for landfall in western panhandle. Escambia County – 11,500 outages (8%), Santa Rosa and Okaloosa – 1,100 outages (>1%).

49 Infrastructure Current Issues ESF12 ELECTRIC ESF 12 is in contact with the electric utilities that will be impacted and they are ready to respond as soon as the hurricane passes and it is safe for the repairs to begin. Broward County –191,600 outages (22%), Miami-Dade County – 355,500 outages (37%), Monroe County – 2,830 outages (10%). (trk 40) Gulf Power preparing for landfall in western panhandle. FPL reports that 11,700 workers total, working on power restoration. ETRs FPL estimates 90% restored by midnight Tuesday. The last 10% by midnight next Friday. Palm Beach is back in power. (trk 390)
