1 Alaska June 6 th – 11 th 2016

2 Why I chose this tour Alaska is nicknamed the “last wilderness” because its land is still mostly wild and undeveloped. I want to take students to experience the beauty of this part of our country and hope to inspire a commitment to preserving the resources God gave us. Insert Photo of Yourself the experience is everything

3 Alaska Will Change You! In 2013, my family and I traveled to Alaska for the Iditarod. I would love to share my love for “The Last Frontier” with you! Mrs. OVD & family snowshoeing near Anchorage, Alaska

4 Curriculum Tie-In I have been using Alaska’s Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race in the classroom for 15 years. I have found this experiential learning to be an extremely motivating teaching tool in the Language Arts curriculum. Seeing Alaska’s wilderness and the sled dogs of Denali will be a highlight for students on this trip!
