7 7 Are you Ready? Next Steps… 1. Become a member of CAVR 2. Go to www.cavrcanada.org to download certification package or receive package from CAVR Certification Chairwww.cavrcanada.org 3. Contact Certification Chair to receive an ID# and if you wish, request a Mentor! 4. Ensure all requirements are met in the certification criteria before proceeding 5. Send papers &application fee to CAVR Chair of Certification 6. Papers to be disseminated to CAVR markers 7. Must be postmarked no later than February 28th 8. Certification awarded at National Conference in the presence of your peers and colleagues!!

8 8 Tips for keeping on track Keep anything related to your certification into a file for easy retrieval at a later date!! Take a “Professional Development” record to every workshop you attend and get signature Get involved in volunteer work either on a committee or a board! Register “your intent” and get an ID# & mentor as this will commit you to keep on going!
