2 Office of Traffic, Safety, and Technology 27. Standard & Spec. Prov. MnDOT Standard Specifications for Construction The “Spec Book” contains standard specifications to be used and referred to in the design of plansSpec Book Plan designers need to be aware of the specifications contained in the Spec Book that may apply to their individual project. The 2014/2005 Spec Book includes both metric and non-metric units of measure conversions. The 2014 Spec book also includes numerous modifications to the 2005 Spec Book 2
