8  Communications, Problem Solving, and Multidisciplinary Teamwork were the most important and the biggest gaps.  Consider a college-wide effort to partner with industry to make drastic improvements in these areas the next three years (workshops, panels, etc.).  Repeat this survey each Spring to track progress  Give ABET something that will knock their socks off!! 10  9-10: Promoters – (81%) People who are selling your programs through word-of-mouth  7-8: Passives – (19%) People who are satisfied, but have reservations about recommending the program to others. Usually not satisfied with one or more aspects.  1-6: Detractors – (0%) People who are probably saying negative things about the program. COE Assessment Survey10

11  Projects based on class research or class design projects were less impressive than projects based on real industry projects. They did not demonstrate skills industry was hoping to see.  Consider using real industry projects as much as possible so students wrestle with real situations, data, problems, people, and challenges.
