4  Electronic journalism has changed in recent years. ▪ With more changes ahead  What changes you are aware of when it comes to news delivery? ▪ What has led to the changes? ▪ What are some changes that may occur in the future?

5  What is Convergence?  What is Multimedia?  Some use the term interchangeably  However, ▪ There is a difference between them

6  Convergence  Distributing content through multiple platforms  Multimedia  Content that incorporates multiple forms of media

7  The basic elements of a news story  For print, broadcast and web ▪ Are essentially the same

8  Immediacy  Main point for broadcast and web stories ▪ Current info ▪ Latest developments ▪ What will happen next  Print ▪ What happened (Past tense)  Broadcast/web ▪ What is happening NOW!!!
