3. Sharing Our Stories Why stories? –Understanding before intervention Norms of Collaboration Attitudes of humility, reconciliation, and openness, seeking accurate understanding of each others experiences. Considerations

4. Activity Overview Select someone from your table that is diverse from you in some way: Race/Ethnicity, faith tradition, gender. Guidelines: The first person talks for 4 uninterrupted minutes, for 1 minute the listener reflects back what they learned/heard, for 1 minute other clarifies any misunderstandings, then switch. Feel free to take a moment to organize your thoughts before you begin. Listen to each other using the following questions as a guide.

What is it like to be you and what has your experience been like as a person with your background (in terms of race, gender, faith tradition)? What are the advantages you associate with being you? What are the challenges or disadvantages you associate with being you? What has your experience been like at APU (in terms of your race, gender, or faith tradition)? ***You only have 4 minutes to reflect on all these questions***
