2 Last time… We discussed the difference between an apostle and a disciple We discussed the number of apostles and why it was significant We discussed why disciples started following Jesus in the first place

3 What qualities would you look for in selecting a “best disciple” Who was the first and best disciple? Mary! Although she is not mentioned much in the Gospels and she does not play a major role in Jesus’ public ministry, she was perfectly committed to Jesus.

4 Mary, the first disciple She was the first one to believe and follow Christ She brought him into the world She devoted her life to him for thirty years before his public ministry

5 In groups… Please look up THREE of the following Scripture passages and record (you only need 1 copy per group) an explanation of how it shows Mary as a believer and a disciple, AND an example of how someone your age can imitate this trait.
