2 Narration/Storytelling · The author creates the universe, people, and events within the story. ·The author also chooses how the story is told and how the plot unfolds.

3 Actors/Characters ·Characters exist in the story, and actors are chosen to play certain parts and are valued for how well they play the parts.

4 Special Effects The illusions used to stimulate imagined events in a story. Special effects include editing, camera techniques, computer generated effects, and visual effects.

5 Costume/Set Design Costume consists of wardrobes or how the characters dress. Set Design consists of the design of the scenery in a film.

6 Music/Sound Filmmakers use music and sound to elevate the experience of viewing the movie.

7 Themes Just like in literature, themes are the lessons the writers want us to learn from film. Most-to-all movies contain themes.
