All rights reserved. 2-5 Concepts Overview 1.Hierarchy The graphic representation of the organization of folders on a disk is called a hierarchy. 2.File and Folder Names When a file or folder is created, it must be assigned a file name that identifies its contents.

All rights reserved. 2-6 Concepts Overview 3.Copy and Move All Windows applications include features that allow you to copy and move selected information from one location to another. 4.Drag and Drop Common to all Windows applications is the ability to copy or move selections using the drag and drop feature.
