Specialized cells function together in tissues, organs, organ systems, and the whole organism.
Scientists have organized multicellular structures into five levels based on complexity

4. 1) Cells: Organisms are made up of specialized cells that each have a particular structure that enables it to perform a specific task

Red blood cell- delivers oxygen to all tissues
Nerve cell- provides a pathway for electrochemical
nerve impulses

Perform the most complex activities in the body
