2 SPS external DUMP transport Some constrains Simple ‘’system’’ : ie. battery powered tractor + trailler Max slope for our current equipement 3 to 4% with a towed load of 20/30t The dead weight of the trailler for dump transport to be taken into account (~3/4t) -> CERN conventional battery powered tractors not suitable

3 Possible solution 1 Jacob tractors Max slope 20% 15t/tractor Width: 1230mm Speed 1 to 2 km/h depending of the load and the slope Combination of 2 tractors to transport up to 30t Equiped with an optional lead pannel on the back of the driver One constrain need the 400V 63A supply -> need to install a power rail in the tunnel (like in Ti2 / Ti8 tunnel) Need to built a dedicated plaftform for transport

4 Possible solution 2 Custom build battery powered tractor Width : ~1200mm -> Specification according to the final design of the CE

5 Preliminary cost estimate Solution 1 Power rail for the access tunnel (doesn’t include EL part) -> 50KCHF Transport frame -> 50 KCHF Some adaptation for the tractors -> 20KCHF Solution 2 New tractor -> 150KCHF New trailler -> 50 KCHF
