Fabric technology is currently most prevalent within sportswear.

In February 2015, the brand will release its Nike lab X JFS collections. The designer is Johanna F Schneider from Berlin. The designs combines performance sports wear and high fashion. Pieces from the collection are designed to enhance performance and can be removed in layers during a workout. The collection is inspired by human movement and architecture.

The vest is made of two layers, filled with frozen water. It is designed for hotter climates. It helps insulate the body’s heat. It is coated with aluminium to reflect the sun’s radiation. It is made from sustainable materials- Nike air soles and felt from men’s suits.

This are fabrics which incorporate digital devices, such as tiny computers. Some textiles may have sensors or controllers within them. Clothing can monitor the heart, light up, deflate, cool or heat up.

It has been developed using leather and smart e-foils.

This garment uses technology similar to a lie dector test, to display emotion. Blue means relaxed and red symbolises anger. It helps humans with communicating their emotions effectively. Colour is seen in the light display.
