3. One of the deliverables for the ePSIplus project is a scorecard system by which compliance with the main provisions of the re-use of public sector information Directive can be measured. 12. www.ePSIplus.net Due to the principles of subsidiarity within the EU each country will have approached the implementation of the PSI Directive differently. The main approaches adopted by Member States can be summarised as: Procedural. In this approach the country transposes the Directive on a basis of I have to do this otherwise infringement procedures will be invoked! Light Touch Regulation. In this approach action is taken to establish the PSI framework, provide standards licences, provide guidance, raise awareness within the public sector, establish a complaints and appeals handling processes. Ensuring compliance falls to the re-user! Tight regulation.
