Luke 6:38 38“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

II Corinthians 9:6-12 6Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

II Corinthians 9:6-12 7Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

II Corinthians 9:6-12 8And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

II Corinthians 9:6-12 9As it is written:
“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.”

II Corinthians 9:6-12 10Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.

II Corinthians 9:6-12 11You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

II Corinthians 9:6-12 12This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

You Gotta’ Sow To Grow or You want fries with that?

As We Prosper 1Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches of Galatia, so do you also. 2On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come. (I Corinthians 16:1-2)

Seek To Excel But just as you abound in everything, in faith and utterance and knowledge and in all earnestness and in the love we inspired in you, see that you abound in this gracious work also. (II Corinthians 8:7)

Not really all that difficult
Sow Bountifully Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. (II Corinthians 9:6) Not really all that difficult

DON’T TOUCH MY FRIES

What He Realized… He was the source/supplier of the french fries.
He gave his son more than he was expecting. He was powerful enough to take every fry away if he wanted to.

He could go back to the counter and bring enough fries to cover him in fries.
He didn’t need his fries. He could go get as many fries as he wanted. He didn’t need a couple of fries, he wanted his son to be willing to share the very blessings he had provided.

God gives us all these french fries and we sit around saying,

those are mine!

If you really think something belongs to you, die and try to keep someone else from taking it!

In the Old Testament God asked His people to give a tithe and He would bless them for it.

A tithe is nothing more than a penny out of a dime, or a dime out of a dollar.

If God sat you at a table and gave you 10 dimes what would cause you to say no if God asked for one back?

MINE, MINE!

Either…

Either… things or God!

(Luke 16:13b)

Would you pass the fries please?
