7. 7Conclusions  The CIP Secretariat implements programs more effectively and with closer links to the activities of the Department of Economic Development, Trade and Tourism (DEDTT), the Executive Secretariat for Integral Development (SEDI) and the Organization of American States (OAS).  In 2012, the Executive Board of the CIP, composed by 9 port authorities of member states, will hold two virtual and two live meetings. In previous years, only live meetings were conducted.  The capacity building program will reach more than 100 scholarships in 2012, well above the annual average of 70 scholarships between 2006 and 2011. This program is supported by Member states and partners.
