 1. Nuclear power is dangerous because it can combust really easy.  2. It must be sealed up and buried for thousands of years for the radioactivity to die.

 3. It must be kept safe from earthquakes, flooding, terrorist, and ect.  4. A lot of money has been spent on the safety from nuclear power.

 Radiation  It is a major threat to humans and the environment.  Results can be disastrous  Nuclear power plant.

 1. A nuclear accident can be a major disaster. People are becoming very concerned with this fact. Many people are scarred of the effects of Nuclear power.

 In the 1990's nuclear power was the fastest-growing source of power in the world.  In 2005 it was the second slowest- growing.  This shows that people are realizing that nuclear power is not the answer.

 Hydroelectric  Wind  Water  Solar Biomass  Gas/oil  Refused based fuel  Hydrogen  Fusion

 Wind  Some advantages of wind powered energy are, wind is free, it is well suited for rural areas.  Solar  Some advantages of solar powered energy are, sunlight is free when available and the cost are dropping.

 Three Mile Island  A reactor coolant leak out, to atmosphere. Some of the fuel was uncovered and partially melted, allowing radioactive fission products to escape.  Picture of Three Mile Island.

 The Disaster of Chernobyl  Happened in Ukraine  The fourth reactor exploded releasing radiation and particulate material.  Thirty people died at the site of the explosion, and many more suffered illness as a result of radiation exposure.

 Nuclear power is a very dangerous source. There has been a couple bad disasters such as the accident at Nine Mile Island were the plant blow up. Nuclear power gives off a lot of radiation if spilled that kill lots of people. It also takes so much money to keep nuclear power safe.  There are many reasons why nuclear power is bad that’s why you should vote against this bad source. Let’s save the planet and our lives.
