Overview I.Problem II.Solution III.Prototype Design Refinements IV.Test Plan V.Testing VI.Questions

I. Problem What is the problem? Current remote surveillance systems use limited resolution cameras, while high-resolution surveillance systems do not have remote transfer.

II. Solution What is the solution? The CellVeillance will allow for remote capture and transfer with an off-the-shelf digital camera.

III. Prototype Design Refinements Refinements include: New 32-bit ARM7 processor (Texas Instruments TMS470 Family) New USB reader (GHI Electronics USBwiz™) New EDGE-compatible cellular radio (Motorola G24) The CellVeillance is divided up into four major subsystems: Power – Justin Motion Detection – Damion Wireless Communication – Josh and Tyler Camera Compatibility – Josh and Tyler Each of these subsystems have been designed and tested with the technical and practical constraints in mind.

III. Prototype Design – Practical Constraints TypeNameDescription SustainabilitySelf TestThe device must be capable of remotely performing a self test. SustainabilityUpgradeableThe device must be capable of accepting firmware upgrades. Self Test: - Provides assurance - Capability to test all systems individually Upgradeable: - Add functionality - Fix bugs

IV. Test Plan ConstraintTest Plan Battery LifeContinuous transmission: 10 hours Or standby mode: 72 hours And normal mode: 2 hours Ammeter Data Transmission Compatible with GPRS cellular network Transmit images via GPRS network PortabilityPhysical dimensions of 12”L x 6”W x 6”D Ruler Motion Detection Distance of 30 feet at a 90-degree viewing angle Protractor and measuring tape CompatibilityCompatible with an off-the-shelf digital camera Buy a camera and use it
