3 Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:1-3

4 Therefore (based upon what I have just said) Show appreciation for God’s grace

Ephesians 4:1-3 and gentleness (meekness, root meaning is self-control)  we treat all men with perfect courtesy  we can rebuke without rancor  we can discuss differences without intolerance  we can face the truth without resentment  we can be angry and yet not sin

Ephesians 4:1-3 Seven unifying attitudes and practices  Gratitude for God’s glorious grace  Know and live the gospel  Be humble  Practice gentleness  Learn patience  Act with tolerance  Work hard
