It is that temper of spirit in which we accept His dealings with us as good, and therefore without disputing or resisting. It is the opposite of self-assertiveness & self-interest, but should never be mistaken for weakness (it is the fruit of power – Gal. 5:23; 6:1). strong enough to be gentle
