13 Grading Your grade will be determined as a combination of tests, quizzes (announced or unannounced), labs, assignments, projects, and class participation. The total points will be averaged at the end of the quarter to determine the grade percent. Quizzes, Tests, In Class Activities, Labs, and Common Tasks will vary in points depending on length of assignment. Midterm Exam & Final Exam – 20% of each semester grade. Homework will be worth either 5 or 10 points depending upon length of assignment. Please refer to the school homework policy for more detailed information. Positive participation (attending class both physically and mentally) is worth two or more points a day, depending on the class activity. The following actions are examples of participation: arriving to class on time, completing warm-up and exit questions, being prepared for class, attentiveness, taking notes, lab participation, and following class rules.

14 Make up Work: Assignments must be turned in on time for full credit. It is your responsibility to complete any make up work. Following the Student Handbook, you have the same number of days absent to hand in missed work.
