5 DOL has invested $288 Million to engage Education & Business --High-Growth Job Training Initiative (Business Driven-Toyota) --Community Based Job Training Grants (Community Colleges/Under-prepared workers) --WIRED Grants-Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development (Single Regional Strategy) FUNDING SOURCES TO DEVELOP AMERICA’S TALENT!

6 THOUGHT LEADERS (BOEING) The Boeing Company-Rick Stephens, Senior Vice President-HR Why a world leader in Aerospace with 787 Dreamliner? --Must build coalitions-externally & internally; ---get partners together ---develop vision, mission and shared values; and ---establish a structure for implementation.

12 CONCLUSION Shoreline’s sails are set in the right direction for extreme SUCCESS! New “Strategic Plan” mirrors the ideas of the America’s most successful global companies DOL initiatives emphasize the global workplace, diversity and building a sustainable environment. Workforce Programs are tied to economic development for the region and builds on growth - high wage SECTORS and partnerships.
