1.ABSTRACT: This system presents the healthcare application and implementation of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system. The RFID tags are introduced to replace register card of hospital for exchanging medical data. It can provide patients a convenient way for to accessing medical information and can help them to keep medical quality, such as remind them for taking medicine and revisit etc. The system was implemented on MSP430 Ultra-EV Board with HF RFID reader (ISO 15693). Experiments were conducted on example for system work. The results showed that the system can provide useful medical information in real-time.

2.OBJECTIVES: The goal of this project is to show how RFID technology can be used to reduce medical mistakes, improve patient safety and enhance the quality of medical service in hospitals.

3.BLOCK DIAGRAM :

4. METHODOLOGY: This system present that RFID tags will be used for both patients and medicine house. Medicine 1 Tx is RFID for patient 1 and Medicine 2 Tx is RFID for patient 2.Any patient came to hospital for medicine in medicine house it checks the RFID tags for respective patients. Then patient should enter the password that is input to the MSP430, in controller it checks the password if patient is authorized then it process next. The MSP430 will generate the out put that is fed to buffer IC 4050,buffer stores and given to the driver IC 2003 in driver current will amplifies and voltage will inverts with the help of Darlington circuit of driver IC to drive the relay. Then signal is given to the output load, which is voice announcement regarding patient medicines.

5. ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES:  ADVANTAGES: 1.Reducing the operating costs, and reducing costly thefts. 2.RFID systems are becoming popular in logistics operations, inventory and materials management, and industrial automation, replacing optical identification technologies such as barcodes. 3.Managing assets such as hospital equipment. 4.Providing Data for electronic medical records systems

 DISADVANTAGES: Patient identification error may lead to improper dosage of medication to patient, as well as having invasive procedure done.

6.APPLICATIONS: 1.Military applications. 2.Drug Identification & Medication Management. 3.Specimen Collection and Blood Infusion Safety. 4.Patient Identification. 5.Surgical Instrument Identification & Sterilization.

7.CONCLUSION: RFID applications can provide significant benefits to the healthcare industry to ensure patient safety and also to improve supply chain efficiency. In fact, healthcare is predicted to be one of the major growth areas for RFID.
