1 Template for a 42”x46” poster presentation: Title font should be at least 80pt Subtitle font should be at least 50pt, Author 1, Author 2, Author 3 College of Nursing, University of Nebraska Medical Center About NNRC Poster Services This template was designed to produce a 42”x46” poster. You can modify it as needed for your presentation. These guidelines aim to create professional, easy to read posters while saving you valuable time. The NNRC is available to assist with any part of the poster design process. Please notify the NNRC of your poster printing deadline as soon as you are aware of it. To use this template, you will need to delete or write over most of the content on this slide. Headers can be renamed and boxes can be added, resized, or deleted to fit your needs. Font Your choice of font style and size are vitally important to the success and legibility of your poster. For this template, we have used the Arial font family at several recommended text sizes: Main title: 80 or larger Headers: 50 or larger Body text: 30 or larger Color If you would like to personalize your poster further, the UNMC Brandwise website provides a recommended color palette: UNMC Brandwise website Charts and Tables To import elements for Excel or Word, highlight the object and copy and paste on to the poster. Check that the chart or table can be edited in PowerPoint and was not inserted as a picture. You may need to resize the text after pasting– as with the rest of the poster, font size of 30 or larger is strongly recommended. Printing Printing a proof of your poster on regular 8.5”x11” paper is a good way to see if your text is too small. It should be legible at that size. Please check if there are any conference specifications on poster size. The NNRC standard size is 42”x46”. Please send your poster to the NNRC at least one week before you need the final product. This allows time to optimize formatting for our printer and to address any issues. Shipping via USPS or FedEx can be arranged. Please leave enough time for transit. Shipping charges are your responsibility and you will need to provide a Cost Center # to the NNRC. Use the eyedropper to select a color from the image above. The color you ‘captured’ with the eyedropper tool will be added to your Recent Colors. Pictures Using photos is a great way to add visual interest to your poster; however, only high resolution images will scale up properly. Avoid scanned images or low quality downloads from the internet. Low resolution images will appear pixelated when printed at large scale. Use the sliding scale in the lower right corner of your window to zoom to 100%--this shows the approximate print quality of your image: To ensure the highest resolution of your images, do not copy/paste them on to the poster. Instead, use the Insert>Pictures option from the toolbar at the top of your window to insert the picture file:
