3 Motivation W e have a great interest in the car, because the vehicle is an essential transportation for modern life. Also, people's requirements for quality of the life getting higher and higher, but we have to think twice about protection environmental before improving the quality of the life in recent years, and don’t increase the burden of environment. T herefore, we want to understand if a hybrid car may replace the car using gasoline in the future or not. So we select Lexus Hybrid Drive as representative and hope to find out about the development and future of energy-saving vehicles.

5 Purpose To explore why do people like Lexus Hybrid Drive? To understand whether or not Lexus Hybrid Drive is major trend of development for vehicle in the future? To think what the advantage for environment of Lexus Hybrid Drive is?

7 Origin As early as 1983, the then chairman of the Toyota Motor Eiji Toyoda summoned to the directors of the company and held a secret meeting, he raised a question: "Can we create a luxury sedan to dominate the world?" This question promoted that the whole of Toyota Motor conducted a the most confidential plan, which was named for F1. The goal which was developed into a luxury sedan of the Toyota would make their production line extended, and made the Toyota brand enter the luxury car market.

8 Design and Technology The Design of Lexus emphasizes that high- quality machinery and world-class luxurious car standard on the traditional. Just as the first LS types car of Lexus emphasizes that is important factors including: Aerodynamics, performance, smooth to drive a vehicle, according to human inner decorations of ergonomics and quiet carriage, fuel consume efficiency, safe and believable.

9 Becoming of brand The final new brand name was modified Lexus is a mixture of the word "luxury” and "excellence". This is the initially public statement of Lexus. The ultimate logo is an oval around a Latin alphabet "L". It is said that the oval arc of the letter "L" is altered with a precise mathematical formula by Toyota.

10 Marketing North American market Lexus in the United States has achieved an unprecedented success since its launch, but outside of North America in the markets temporarily had only a limited degree of success. European markets Lexus sold in Europe in 2006 alone has increased by 72 percent, sold more than 50,000 vehicles, making it become the fastest-growing automotive brand in the European continent. Britain This is largest market of Lexus in the Europe. The IS series was sold a lot on the overall of Lexus. And the sales of the GS 450h and RX 400h models are also more than British model sales.

11 Oceania market In Australia, the sales of Lexus grew beyond the opponent. Currently it ranked third in the local on importing luxury car sales among the higher demand for IS models Asian markets Lexus catch up BMW which had always been the highest of imported cars. In 2005, Lexus became the highest sales of imported luxury cars in local. The record maintained for two years. In Taiwan, Lexus also became a best-selling imported luxury car in 2005 Japanese market Lexus began sold in Japan Since August 2005. Japan has a total of 143 showrooms across the country.

13 Interview We design a few questions to interview those who sell Lexus : Q1. Where do the most age of the clients lie on ? A1. About 35-60 years old. Q2. Which does model have a best-selling? A2. RX

14 Interview Q3. Besides environmental protection, what does the energy-saving car focus on? A3. It also focuses on quieting and comforting. Q4. What do you want to do which the direction of development is in the future? A4. They will go on developing Hybrid. Q5. How does the Hybrid develop in the future? A5. It will be a major trend in the future.

15 Conclusion Lexus Hybrid Drive is a technology that pursuits pure future technology. Therefore, we believe that the Hybrid Drive technology will enter another milestone while declaring LEXUS in hybrid is an unshakable leader, and will go on to lead the world to continue promoting.
